Badbury Rings are the remains of an ancient Iron Age Hill Fort. They can be found along the scenic road between Wimborne and Blandford Forum. The nearest car park is the Badbury Rings National Trust car park postcode DT11 9JL. Entry to Badbury Rings is free of charge but non National Trust members have to pay for parking. There are many excellent walks in the area.

Badbury Rings Hill Fort

Badbury Rings is an impressive Iron Age hill fort that has three rings of ramparts and ditches. From May to July you’ll find yourself surrounded by fields of wild flowers as well as butterflies and birds.

Distance: 1.2 mile (circular walk)
Difficulty: very easy
Estimated time: 30 minutes
Total ascent 49ft, Max elevation 280ft
